TEACHING EXPERIENCE
\nI taught second grade for four years at a private Christian University Model School. Before teaching second grade, I was a multi-grade writing specialist at a gifted academy for two years, a tutor for kindergarten through second grade for one year, and an assistant in a public school first grade classroom for one year. Outside of teaching in schools, I also taught children in my church for several years.\n

MY TEACHING STYLE
\nI enjoy positive reinforcement, arts integration, whole-child development and care, an emphasis on social-emotional skills, as well as learning through play, movement, and higher-order thinking skills. \n\n

I graduated summa cum laude when I earned my BS in Elementary Education.

\nI have a BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in Science.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
\nAfter graduating from college, I was on staff with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) for four years before returning to the elementary education field. I also founded The Joy Paige Dance Company in 2014, and I am still directing it currently.
FAMILY
My husband is the local pastor at our church, where we have been members for over 10 years. We are part of an Acts 29 plant.
